Adventure 1: The Sky-High Gridlock

Chapter 1: Evan, Evelyn, Rev, Abby, and Diesel Arrive In A Crowded Cloud Waiting Room

As Evan, Evelyn, Rev, Abby, and Diesel arrive in a crowded cloud waiting room, they quickly realize heaven is not the effortless paradise they expected. The end of the world doesn’t feel holy. It feels like getting shoved into a broken elevator.

Evan blinks, and the physical world is gone. No tunnel of light. No angel choir. Just pressure on all sides and a low, buzzing panic. When the crush finally loosens, he finds himself standing on something that looks like whipped cream and feels like a damp sponge.

Evelyn, Rev, Abby, and Diesel stand beside him, wobbling on the spongy surface as a roaring crowd surges around them.

Billions of people.

They’re packed shoulder to shoulder across an endless sky, all of them standing on these wet, foamy clouds that stretch in every direction like a glitching white ocean. Above, below, everywhere—just more people. Some are in togas, some in business suits, some in clothes from centuries Evan doesn’t recognize. All of them look confused, annoyed, or terrified.

Diesel squints at the chaos, then at the clouds. He smooths his hair like he’s about to step onto a stage, not into eternity.

“Where’s my golden mansion?” he snaps. “Coach said my ‘physical ascension’ and ‘meritocracy of athletic achievement’ guaranteed me a seventeenth-century literal palace. With fountains. And my own gym.”

No palace. No gym. No fountains.

Just a billion souls shoulder-checking each other in the sky because they all apparently imagined the afterlife hovering above Earth—and now they’re all here at once.

Abby clutches the silver cross on her necklace so hard her knuckles go white. A faint glow pulses around her, flickering like a dying candle.

“I’m supposed to have my White Robe Uniformity,” she whispers. “The Interpreters said I’d be made perfect. No rough edges. No personality to tempt anyone into sin. I’m supposed to be… the same as everybody else.”

She scans the crowd like she’s searching for a lost uniform. All she finds are clashing outfits and clashing beliefs, all smashed together in one choking cloud.

Rev, the self-declared Techno-Materialist, doesn’t even look up. He’s busy stabbing at the empty air in front of him like he’s trying to wake a dead screen.

“Come on,” he mutters. “There has to be a menu here. An interface. Something.”

Nothing appears.

He frowns, raises his hands, and tries again, more desperate this time. “Cloud storage, digital backup, wireless uplink—anything?”

Nothing.

“This is a logistical disaster,” he says under his breath. “No network, no protocols, no visible infrastructure. The Consensus Reality here is … a low-density waiting room.”

He pauses, then touches his forehead.

His fingers brush over something flat.

A barcode.

He goes still.

Evan and Evelyn stand side by side, calm in the middle of the storm. Their energy—whatever that means here—glows brighter than the others. Not loud, not flashy, just… steady.

Evan studies the “clouds” beneath their feet. The surface keeps sagging and reforming as more souls pile on, as if the whole place is threatening to collapse under the weight of everyone’s expectations.

“They’re crowding the atmosphere,” he says quietly to Evelyn. “No one’s moving higher. They’re all clinging to the first stop because it looks familiar.”

Evelyn closes her eyes and tilts her head, listening. Somewhere beyond the shouting and complaints, she’s searching for the Harmonic Pitch of the Divine Father—a tone she once heard in a dream and never forgot.

Up here, it’s almost drowned out by arguments.

“I deserve the nicest house!” someone screams.

“I was more faithful than you!” another voice shouts back.

Evan winces. The noise vibrates through him.

Then, with a shrill plastic peep, the crowd parts.

A figure materializes in front of them, wearing a neon-yellow crossing-guard vest over what might be a suit. Around his neck hangs a cheap plastic whistle that looks like it came from a dollar store. His eyes, however, are ancient and far too amused.

“Welcome to the End-Time Queue,” he says with a grin that’s all sharp edges.

Sir Pent.

His name dances through Evan’s mind like a warning.

“You all insisted,” Sir Pent continues, “that Believing Overrides Logic. And this”—he sweeps his arm at the packed sky, the jostling bodies, the endless, sagging clouds—“is what you built. Congratulations. You’ve turned eternity into a celestial subway car at rush hour.”

Diesel plants his hands on his hips. “Fine. Joke’s over. Where’s my mansion?”

Sir Pent gestures toward a distant stretch of cloud, where something glitters faintly. “Ah, yes. Your ‘Golden Mansion’. Minor update: at the moment, it’s being used as a public restroom by about a thousand Freeloaders.”

Diesel’s jaw drops.

“Turns out,” Sir Pent adds, “when no one believes in a Heavenly Profession—no one believes in work at all—maintenance is… inconsistent.”

Diesel shoves through the crowd, his body heavier here than it ever was on Earth. With every frustrated stomp, the spongy gold under his feet warps and dents, like tinfoil crushed by a hammer.

He trips—the “golden sidewalk” buckles, forming a pothole that sucks in his ankle.

“What is this?” he yells, yanking his leg free. “The streets are made of soft metal!”

“No assigned workers,” Sir Pent says cheerfully. “No one to repair the damage. You wanted an afterlife where you never lift a finger. This is what that looks like.”

Diesel stares at the warped gold around his footsteps. For the first time since arriving, he looks… unsure.

The crowd surges again, pushing them toward a distant shimmer—a promise of an entrance, a gate, a way into something better.

But the air tastes like unfinished business.

And nothing about this “heaven” feels finished at all.

Chapter 2: The Five Teens Face The Turnstiles And Realize They Lack Spiritual Identity

While the five teens face the turnstiles and realize they lack spiritual identity, they are confronted with the reality of their earthly choices. The shimmering in the distance turns out not to be a grand, open gate.

It’s a bottleneck.

The five of them are funneled toward a massive, glowing archway made of something pearly and half-transparent. Evan expects towering doors that swing wide at a touch.

Instead, the “Pearl Gates” are a row of high-security turnstiles.

Each entrance is guarded by a stern-looking angel in a pressed uniform, tablet in hand. Tiny lights blink above the gates like airport scanners.

“Step up and scan your Identity,” one of the angels calls. “No entry without it.”

Abby freezes.

“My… identity?” she whispers.

Her breathing quickens. For years, she’d been told that her earthly self—her thoughts, her quirks, even her preferences—were all dangerous. To be holy was to vanish into sameness. To be a perfect, blank shape in a white robe.

Now she reaches for that identity like it’s in her pocket… and finds nothing.

She steps up to the turnstile anyway, trembling. The angel waves the tablet near her forehead. A harsh beep blares.

The screen flashes: GENERIC BARCODE: WHITE ROBE UNIFORMITY REQUESTED

The angel frowns and scrolls.

“I’m sorry,” he says in a flat, polite voice. “According to your One Big Book of rules, you requested full White Robe Uniformity. Your individual identity has been dissolved. You’re registered as a Passive Recipient. No longer an active Apprentice.”

Abby’s mouth moves, but nothing comes out.

“You mean…” Her voice finally returns as a thin whisper. “I erased myself?”

The angel taps the tablet again and motions her through. The turnstile unlocks with a mechanical clack.

Rev steps up next, shoulders squared, trying to look like this is just another system he can override.

“Look,” he says, “I was expecting something a little more advanced. Automated Luxury Communism. Robots handling the labor while I run simulations in a VR paradise.”

The scanner passes over his head—another beep.

The screen labels him: TEMPORARY MENTAL EXTENSION – LACKS THREEFOLD FLAME.

“Recommendation,” the tablet adds. “Hold in Subconscious Reservoir until inner flame is stable.”

Rev stares at the words like he’s reading an error message on his own body.

“That’s not how this works,” he protests. “I’m the one who—”

The turnstile unlocks with a cold little click.

Evan and Evelyn pass through without incident, though Evan feels the scanner pass over him like a silent judgment. Diesel storms after them, still grumbling about his stolen mansion.

Beyond the gates lies the “Neighborhood of Rewards.”

If that’s what you can call it.

Evan had imagined a harmonious city: glowing towers, peaceful gardens, music drifting on the breeze.

Instead, the neighborhood looks like every argument about heaven, mashed together and built out of stubbornness.

Every house is a different architectural style: crystal palaces pressed against plastic mansions, medieval cottages jammed up against futuristic glass cubes. Nothing fits. Nothing lines up. Colors clash so hard they make Evan’s eyes hurt.

“Everyone just… made it up,” he murmurs. “Whatever they wanted. Whatever they thought they deserved.”

Diesel spots a massive, gaudy mansion glittering like a trophy.

“There,” he says, triumphant. “Finally.”

The house is huge—columns, balconies, golden trim. But right next to it stands a smaller building occupied by people Diesel clearly recognizes. People he once gloated over, people he believed would be punished while he was rewarded.

They’re not punished.

They’re neighbors.

Some of them lounge on the shared steps. Others use his gold-trimmed fence to hang wet towels.

“In this Consensus Reality,” Evelyn says softly, “your ‘nicest house’ is built out of the same emotions you carried on Earth.”

Resentment.

Jealousy.

Fear.

Diesel stares at his mansion. The gold doesn’t look like honor now. It looks like old anger welded into shape.

Before he can answer, a new surprise hits them.

Barking.

Meowing.

Chirping.

Their former pets stroll down the golden street like royalty.

Evelyn gasps and runs forward, arms open. “Milo!” she cries, spotting the orange cat she’d held as he died.

Milo lifts his head from a shimmering lounge chair and blinks at her lazily. He doesn’t move.

None of the animals do.

Dogs recline on golden cushions. Cats stretch on elevated platforms. Birds perch on jeweled stands, watching everything like tiny supervisors.

An angel appears beside them, adjusting a clipboard.

“In this realm,” he explains, “the roles are inverted. The pets are Sovereign Masters on Eternal Vacation. The humans serve them.”

Diesel’s bulldog, Tank, raises one paw. A tray of glowing steak appears, hovering in front of him. Tank sniffs it, unimpressed, then looks straight at Diesel.

“Why are they in charge?” Diesel demands as Tank snorts in his direction, waiting for the steak to be cut.

A familiar voice answers from behind the warped golden fence.

Sir Pent leans against it, watching the scene with a smirk.

“They never surrendered their Free Will to a Book of Rules,” he says quietly. “They never turned their own minds into property of someone else’s interpretation. You five did. That makes the animals the Active Observers…”

He tilts his head.

“…and you, the Domestic Help.”

Evan looks down at his own hands. He reaches for a simple thought: Give the cat a glass of water.

Nothing happens.

No spark. No glow. No glass.

He realizes, with a stab of cold, that he doesn’t have the Personal Soul Skills to manifest even the smallest thing here.

They wanted to be “Saved.”

They arrived as “Spiritually Bankrupt” instead.

And this paradise has no patience for Freeloaders.

Chapter 3: Abby, Diesel, and Rev Refuse To Clean The Sin Residue From The Crystal Sea

When Abby, Diesel, and Rev refuse to clean the sin residue from the crystal sea, they realize their eternal reward demands hard work—the neighborhood flickers.

The sky ripples.

In a blink, the warped mansions and lounging animals dissolve, and the five teens are standing on the shore of what should be the famous Crystal Sea.

Evan expects something breathtaking—clear water like liquid glass, light running through it in every color.

Instead, the surface of the sea is coated in a thick, rainbow film.

It looks beautiful for half a second. Then he realizes what it is.

It clings to the waves like grease. It shimmers with a sickly, metallic sheen. The air smells faintly burned.

“Sin Residue,” Evelyn says quietly. The words surface in her mind like a memory she doesn’t remember earning. “Leftover energy from beliefs nobody ever questioned.”

All those fixed ideas.

All those rigid rules.

All that fear.

It had to go somewhere.

An angel appears beside them—not with a harp or a halo, but with a crate.

He sets it down. Inside are mops, brushes, and coarse, shining cloths that feel like sandpaper.

“Since every soul assumed,” he says, “they did not need a Heavenly Profession, the infrastructure is failing. No one works. Nothing gets done. The residue builds.”

He hands a mop to Diesel.

Diesel laughs. “You’re kidding, right? I was promised the Lazy Life of Luxury. I’m an athlete. A princess, basically.”

The angel looks at him.

Diesel lifts the mop like it’s contaminated. “I’m here for eternal rewards. The Creator handles the chores.”

He drops the mop so it clatters against the shore. “My Savior does the work. That’s the deal.”

He folds his arms and waits for someone—anyone—to pick the mop up.

Abby doesn’t argue. She takes one of the polishing cloths with shaking hands and kneels at the edge of the water.

She scrubs.

The cloth squeaks against the stone. The residue fades under her touch, revealing a glimpse of the true sea beneath—clear, bright, stunning.

For a second, hope flares in her chest.

Then, as soon as she finishes that spot, a fresh, oily stain seeps up in its place.

Her shoulders slump.

She moves to the next patch and tries again.

Another stain.

Again.

Again.

It doesn’t matter how hard she works; something inside her keeps whispering that she’s a “Worthless Sinner by Nature,” that nothing she does can be enough. That belief pulls in more of the same residue, trapping her in an endless loop of effort without progress.

She isn’t just fighting the grime.

She’s fighting herself.

Rev stands with his hands in his pockets, eyes narrowed at the sea.

“This is just a bad program,” he says. “A visual glitch in the sim. There should be an override. A cleanup script. A system daemon.”

He scans the horizon for a robot army, some spiritual maintenance crew.

Instead, a single figure trudges toward them along the shore, arms weighed down by buckets and cloths.

The Savior.

Not glowing and not floating. Just a tired presence with circles under his eyes and wet sleeves from endless scrubbing.

He sets a bucket down at Rev’s feet.

“There are no robots,” the Savior says quietly. “Just souls who wanted to hide from their own choices. They all expected me to carry their share forever.”

Behind him, waves slap against the shore, each one edged in oily light.

“If everyone here is a Freeloader,” he adds, “there’s no one left to build anything new.”

Rev opens his mouth to argue.

The words die.

He takes the bucket with stiff fingers.

Evan and Evelyn stand back, watching the scene unfold. The mop. The stains that won’t stay gone. The exhausted Savior is trying to serve an entire heaven that refuses to grow up.

Evan feels the truth settle over him like a weight.

“A perfect world,” he says slowly, “filled with people who refuse to be Co-Creators… is just a very large, dirty bathroom.”

No one laughs.

He looks down at his empty hands again. No tools. No skills. I do not know how to change anything beyond scraping grime off a surface he barely understands.

“Spiritually bankrupt,” he whispers. “In the very place we thought would fix everything for us.”

The sea rolls on, coated in all the beliefs no one ever dared to question.

And the work no one wanted waits for someone to claim it.

Adventure 1: The Sky-High Gridlock

Chapter 4: Abby, Rev, Evan, Evelyn, and Diesel Experience Boredom At The Banquet Hall

As Abby, Rev, Evan, Evelyn, and Diesel experience boredom at the banquet hall, they realize an eternity without effort is paralyzing. They drop their mops before anyone can stop them.

The smell of the residue, the endless scrubbing, the thought of doing this for eternity—it’s too much. Diesel leads the retreat.

“There has to be a reward hall,” he says, storming away from the Crystal Sea. “A feast. Music. Something.”

The world shimmers again.

When it settles, they’re standing beneath a towering archway. Above it, in sweeping letters of light, hangs a title:

THE HALL OF BLISS

Diesel grins. “Now we’re talking.”

Inside, a massive banquet hall stretches farther than Evan can see. Tables of pure light line the floor, and menus glow in front of every empty seat. The air is warm and smells faintly of every delicious thing Evan has ever tasted.

Diesel strides toward the nearest table.

“I was promised a Lazy Life of Luxury,” he says. “Endless food, zero effort. Divine welfare for the chosen. Let’s go.”

But the tables are empty.

No food.

No drink.

No servers.

In the distant kitchen doorway, Evan spots a familiar shape: the Savior, again, juggling trays, dodging requests, trying to keep up with an impossible list of demands. Souls line up at a counter, complaining loudly, waving their menus in the air.

No one steps in to help.

Everyone is waiting to be served.

Abby sits down at one of the glowing tables. A menu flickers to life in front of her, listing every possible option—meals, experiences, sensations her mind can barely process.

At the top of the list:

DAILY BREAD – CHOOSE YOUR PORTION

Her eyes hover over it.

She knows she should pick something.

Anything.

But she can’t.

Her thoughts, once sharp and crowded with rules, feel oddly empty now—like the furniture has been moved out of a room and no one bothered to tell her.

She reaches for the part of her that used to decide.

There’s nothing there.

Because she gave it away.

She surrendered her thinking, her free will, her inner voice—everything—to get into this place. Now, faced with a simple choice, she freezes.

The menu waits.

Her stomach twists.

“I don’t know what I want,” she whispers.

Her Conscience, once overworked and oversensitive, now feels numb and uncalibrated. Without it, every option looks the same.

She stares at the menu like it’s written in a language she’s never seen.

Rev leans back in his chair and exhales slowly.

“This is it,” he says. “This is what I asked for. Escape from pain. No deadlines. No growth. Just… safety.”

He waits for the sense of victory.

It doesn’t come.

His eyes take in the motionless souls at the tables—silent, staring, menus in hand, no one eating, no one choosing.

“Bliss,” he mutters, “is just… doing nothing. Forever.”

His mind feels like a looping video file: the same thought, the same expectation, repeating without change.

He realizes he doesn’t have the soul skills to enjoy anything beyond this bland, static existence. No curiosity. No drive. No inner flame.

Just an endless pause.

Evan and Evelyn move along the rows, watching others struggle with the same paralysis. So many of them had treated the Savior like a destination—an end point you reach and then stop.

A waiter.

Not a Brother to learn from.

They had crossed a finish line and thrown away their running shoes, only to discover the “race” was actually the beginning of something bigger.

Now they sit, spiritually untrained, in a place that requires strength they never bothered to build.

A grey mist begins to seep into the edges of the hall, curling around the chairs and tables.

Evelyn shivers.

The fog presses against her thoughts, dragging them down, making everything feel heavy and pointless.

“The Grey Fog,” she murmurs. “Lethargy made real.”

Souls who surrendered their Sovereignty for simple answers sink into it easily. It wraps around them like a soft, damp blanket. Comfortable. Smothering.

Sir Pent appears at the head of their table, as casual as if he owns the place.

He holds a crystal glass filled with a clear, shimmering liquid.

“For the lady,” he says, offering it to Abby.

She looks up, dazed. “What is it?”

“Liquid Lobotomy,” he replies with a chuckle. “Very popular. Since you all find thinking so exhausting, this will make eternity much easier. No doubts. No questions. Just… floating.”

The glass hums softly in his hand.

“You’ve done it,” he continues, scanning the room with delighted eyes. “You’ve turned the Great Central Sun into an infinite waiting room at the DMV. You’re all officially ‘Saved’…”

His smile sharpens.

“…and completely spiritually bankrupt. You can’t even order a celestial latte.”

Abby’s fingers tremble inches from the glass.

Evan reaches out and closes her hand around the edge of the table instead.

“No,” he says quietly.

The fog thickens.

The Savior staggers under the weight of another tray.

And somewhere deep inside, each of them feels a question rising—a question that doesn’t fit in any of the simple answers they were given.

What if this isn’t the reward we actually want?

Chapter 5: The Angel Shows The Teens The Re-Entry Lottery

When the angel shows the teens the re-entry lottery, they are forced to confront their lack of soul skills. The hall, the fog, the tables—all of it vanishes.

The five teens stand in a vast, bright chamber: the Celestial Sanctuary.

In front of them floats a shimmering terminal, its surface alive with symbols and light.

An angel stands beside it, browsing through their records.

“Vessels of Wisdom,” he murmurs, scrolling. “Let’s see what you brought with you.”

Evan’s chest tightens.

Next to each of their names appears a glowing image of a container.

All of them are nearly empty.

Diesel looks down at his feet. The memory of his warped golden footsteps replays in his mind—each step denting paradise.

“My ‘physical prowess,’” he says slowly, “is just… dead weight here.”

The strength he worshiped on Earth turns out to be a heavy, unrefined density in a world made of thought and light. Every move he makes pushes that weight into the fabric of this place, damaging it.

Abby’s eyes fill with tears.

“I tried so hard,” she sobs. “I did everything they said. I said the prayers. I followed the rules. I hated myself like I was supposed to. Why does it still feel wrong?”

Her tears slide down her face, shining faintly.

They don’t fall.

They cling to her skin like the same Sin Residue she scrubbed from the Crystal Sea.

Because somewhere inside, she still believes she’s a “Worthless Sinner by Nature”—an infection in the system instead of a child learning to walk.

Rev presses his palm against his chest, searching for the bright, balanced core he once heard about in whispered lessons: the Threefold Flame—power, wisdom, love.

All he finds is a flickering strand of yellow, stretched thin and twisted.

His intellect survived the journey.

His wisdom didn’t.

It devolved into pure Sophistry—a tool for winning arguments, not building anything.

“You are all ‘Saved’,” the angel says with a weary sigh. “In the technical sense that you made it here.”

He turns the terminal so they can see.

Under each of their names glows the same verdict:

STATUS: SPIRITUALLY BANKRUPT FREELOADER

AVAILABLE ASSETS: NEGLIGIBLE

“You cannot even afford a chair to sit on,” the angel continues, “because you arrived without Useful Talents, Virtues, or Wisdom. You invested everything in being admitted. Nothing in being ready.”

A familiar presence steps forward.

The Savior.

Not as a stained-glass figure. Not as a painting.

As a Brother.

His eyes are kind but tired.

“The Divine Father doesn’t need a fan club,” he says. “He needs Co-Creators. Trustworthy Executive Directors. Partners in the Work of Creation. Not millions of Passive Recipients waiting for room service.”

Evan and Evelyn exchange a glance.

They understand now what they wouldn’t admit before: their friends aren’t just stuck.

They’re anchors.

Because of them—and others like them—this realm has become a Magnetic Trap, a place where souls cluster instead of rise. A heaven turned into a holding pattern.

“I can’t do this,” Abby says suddenly, voice breaking. She stares at another screen that appears beside the terminal: a “1,000-Year Waiting List,” souls queued to stand trial for their lack of Soul Skills.

Her name flickers somewhere in the middle.

“I don’t want to wait a thousand years to learn what I should’ve started on Earth. I want to go back to the Earth Laboratory. I want a real chance to calibrate my Conscience. To… actually become someone.”

Diesel’s fists clench, then slowly loosen.

“I thought being a champion meant never having to try again,” he admits. “But this…” He gestures at the space, the silent waiting lines, the tired Savior. “This is worse than training. I’d rather be a driver in a world of effort than a passenger in a frozen paradise.”

Rev’s gaze is locked on another possible outcome displayed on the terminal: his consciousness dissolving into something small and obedient—a Molecule of Submission, or even just a Water Molecule, drifting forever in mindless peace.

“For wanting non-thinking,” the angel says, “that is one available path.”

Rev’s throat goes dry.

He lunges toward the terminal as a new interface unfolds: the Re-Entry Lottery.

A glowing lever appears.

Beside it, a spinning pool of options lights up: scenes from different homes, cultures and timelines.

At first, it looks promising.

Then the Angel narrows the selection.

The images darken.

“These,” he says, “are your options. The pool of ‘All Bad Choices’ for new parents. Environments loud enough, harsh enough, mocking enough to test whether you will hold your own Light this time.”

On the screen, they see flashes:

– Rooms filled with screens blaring endless Digital Noise.

– Classrooms where anyone who questions the script is laughed at.

– Families who worship comfort or chaos but never truth.

– The Spirit of Ridicule stalking playgrounds and comment sections alike.

“If you return,” the angel warns, “you will face all of this. You will be surrounded by distraction, scorn, and cheap answers. To grow, you must learn to stand your ground in the middle of that storm.”

Silence hangs between them.

Then, one by one, they step closer.

Abby wipes her eyes. “I’d rather be confused and learning than ‘perfect’ and frozen,” she says. “I want a real chance.”

Diesel nods. “Put me somewhere hard,” he says. “Somewhere effort matters again.”

Rev grips the edge of the terminal. “I want my mind back,” he whispers. “All of it. Not just the part that wins debates. I’ll risk the noise.”

Evan and Evelyn stand beside them, shoulders touching.

The angel watches them for a long moment, then places his hand on the lever.

“Very well.”

Light gathers around them, warm and sharp all at once.

“With a collective breath,” the narrator inside Evan’s own mind notes, “the five of us jump.”

They leap.

The Sanctuary tears away. The clouds, the Crystal Sea, the Hall of Bliss—all vanish into a whirl of color and sound.

They fall back into the Ghostworld transition, the space between lives, where memories blur, and choices harden into fate.

Far above, Sir Pent leans on an invisible balcony, watching their bright shapes streak toward a new beginning.

“So they finally figured it out,” he muses. “Believing Overrides Logic is a one-way ticket to a very boring cloud.”

He smiles, almost fondly.

“Let’s see what they do,” he says softly, “when the test starts over.”

Chapter Synopsis: Evan, Evelyn, Rev, Abby, and Diesel arrive in the afterlife expecting an effortless paradise, only to find a crowded, chaotic cloud waiting room filled with billions of souls. Facing pearl gate turnstiles that reject them for lacking spiritual identity, unhelpful residential neighborhoods where pets rule over humans, and a Crystal Sea fouled by unexamined beliefs, they realize they are spiritually bankrupt and lack personal soul skills. Rejecting an eternity of boredom, passive waiting, and administrative stagnation, the teens choose the Re-Entry Lottery to return to the Earth laboratory and earn genuine spiritual mastery.
